President Russell Guerra charts the year ahead — as featured in The Gleaner

The new president's agenda, as reported nationally: the signature diabetes fair at Sam Sharpe Square, and the return of the club's neurodiversity awareness programme.

The installation of President Jo-Dane Russell Guerra and the 2026-27 board has been featured in The Gleaner, in a report by Christopher Thomas published 23 September 2026.

At the club's 60th-anniversary luncheon at Hotel Grand A View, Lieutenant Governor Jerome Johnson presented the presidential instruments to President Russell Guerra, in the presence of St. James Custos Bishop the Honourable Conrad Pitkin and the incoming board — Secretary Winsome Bailey, Treasurer Floyd Lewis, First Vice President Ava-Maria Campbell, President Elect Annette Brooks and Director Hugh Miller among them.

The president, a Kiwanian since 2022 whose bond with the club reaches back to childhood visits with the grandfather of a close friend — a founding member — set out the two anchors of her year: the 12th Annual Diabetes Awareness Health Fair, the club's signature project, staged with BeWell Consultants at Sam Sharpe Square on 7 November; and the relaunch of the autism-awareness workshop first held two years ago and paused by Hurricane Melissa, now expanded to embrace children with neurodivergent conditions of every kind.

Immediate Past President Yolanda Kameka closed sixty years of service by likening the club to a diamond — “valuable because they have endured” — and charged the incoming board with the next sixty years of shining.
